Reason, Season, Lifetime & Knowing the Difference

The October Shift

October feels like a season of clarity. The air is crisp, the leaves change, and suddenly so do our perspectives. It’s when I remind myself of a timeless truth: people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

Not Everyone Stays Forever

Let me be clear and bold: not everyone is built for a lifetime. Some people are here to teach you a lesson, spark a change, or simply remind you what you don’t need. That’s not a loss, that’s wisdom.

What Each One Means

A reason: They came to teach you something. Maybe it was hard, maybe it was beautiful, but it shifted you.

A season: They brought joy, energy, or growth for a time. The chapter ends, but the story mattered.

A lifetime: These are the rare ones. The anchors, the roots, the constants. The people who grow with you, not against you.

The Power Move

Once you understand this and can identify who’s who, you will stop clinging to expired connections. You love boldly, release gracefully, and save your best energy for the ones who are growing with you, not draining you.

The Bold Choice

Growth isn’t about keeping everyone. It’s about keeping the right ones. This October, I’m choosing reflection over regret, boundaries over burnout, and connections that feel like sunshine in cold weather. Cheers to the reasons, the seasons, and the lifetimes, each shaping who we’re becoming.
